From the President

To Potential Members

My name is Chris Powell and I am a senior accounting major at Murray State University. Nearly three years ago I pledged Alpha Sigma Phi and since then have been rewarded with some of the greatest friendships and experiences of my life on Murray State’s campus. 

This brotherhood has enhanced my leadership, academic and social abilities to help me become a better man. With over eighty brothers composing our Delta Tau chapter, there is never a moment when I am unable to find academic help or a friend to have some fun with. These men are my best friends. 

I hope as you explore our website you will see what this fraternity can provide for you. The following is just a highlight of what we have accomplished in just twelve years:

• We are known as the Gentleman's Fraternity.
• We are one of the largest and strongest chapters of Alpha Sigma Phi in the nation.
• We are the one of the best Fraternities at Murray State University
• We have been named Outstanding Greek Chapter numerous times.
• We have received the President's Cup from Murray State University for Academics and Athletics.
• We have won the Gary A. Anderson Award for the best New Membership Education Program in the nation four times.
• We have won the All-Sports Trophy for intramurals at Murray State University.
• In 12 years, we have won every award possible on Murray State University’s campus and in Alpha Sigma Phi.
• We make great men; we make better men.

To our Brothers

Brothers, I can only hope that we continue “To Better the Man.”  This chapter was built on a solid foundation based upon Silence, Purity, Honor, Charity and Patriotism. By living these values, we will continue to be the best fraternity on campus.

To our Parents and Relatives

I cannot thank you enough for what you have done. Alpha Sigma Phi would be nothing without your guidance in raising great men who have become some of the most influential and successful men on campus. Our motto is “To Better the Man.”  We continue to rush men that you have already instilled with valuable morals and characteristics that allow us to build upon to make great men.

To our Alumni

Your presence here today is a simple indication of your dedication to our chapter and your love of our Brotherhood. Your guidance and assistance, whether financial or labor, is valued and appreciated. The key to a successful chapter depends on its alumni. We must keep the ties that bind, and make them ever stronger.

Thank you for visiting the Delta Tau website. The Delta Tau Chapter sets the standards and trends that define the ideal Greek experience at Murray State University. Our chapter is actively advancing the standards of Alpha Sigma Phi through bettering our members and our surrounding community.
